The overall lengths of valves are defined as basic series in EN 558-1. In this standard, construction lengths valid throughout Europe were introduced, whereby as a rule the previously nationally valid construction lengths were adopted.For example, the flange-to-flange lengths "F4" and "F5" acc. DIN 3202 were adopted as basic series 14 (“F4”) and 15 (“F5”).
